‘Youcheyed’ to vie at Geneva International Oriental filmfest

Iranian short flick ‘Youcheyed’ is slated to vie at the Geneva International Oriental Film Festival (FIFOG).

The short directed by Sahar Khosh-Cheshman, will represent Iran at the short competition section of the 16th edition of the Swiss event.

The synopsis of this short film reads: "And now get up and perform the ritual of cleansing yourself of your sins."

The upcoming edition of the FIFOG will host around 40 films of all genres.

As the situation caused by COVID-19 made filmmakers to work in a difficult context, the FIFOG chose this theme to bring them more hope “Hope… a little, a lot, passionately”.

The 2021 edition of the event is slated for June 21-27.
